TANO SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY DONATES ITEM TO MOSLEM COMMUNITY




The Moslem Community in the Tano South District have received a package of food items from the Government of Ghana through the Tano South District Assembly.

The items which comprised of thirty maxi bags each of rice and sugar was presented to the Moslem Community by the Tano South District Chief Executive Hon. Bukari Zakari Anaba on behalf of the Government after he has joined them in prayers at a Friday Moslem Prayer Meeting at the Bechem Central Mosque.

Making the presentation, the Honorable District Chief Executive

said the items was the government’s widow’s mite to them to help them go through the Ramadan fasting.

The District Chief Executive again said through prayers and fasting by the Moslems and Ghanaians as a whole the country went through a peaceful elections and continue to enjoy the same relative peace and stressed that the Mills Administration entreat them to continue praying for the country to be guided by

God.


The Chief Imam of the

Tano South District Imam Ibrahim Gariba who received the items on behalf of the Moslem Community thanked the Government and said the items would go a long way to support the Moslems in their fasting.


Imam Gariba stressed that it is said there is blessing in giving and since the Government has seen the need to give to the Moslems whilst in the Ramadam Fasting, Allah

the most high would continue to bless the Government and people of Ghana. He expressed the appreciation of the Moslem Community on the items received and said every effort would be made to distribute the items to the Moslems especially the needy ones who are fasting.
