NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFFO-ADDO COMMISSIONS BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTRE


The President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and some of the sector Minister including Hon. Allan Kwadwo Keremateng have paid a courtesy call on Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto II, the Omanhene of Bechem Traditional Area.

Commissioning the Bechem Business Resource Centre, the President of the Republic thanked the chiefs and the people of Bechem for their warm reception and hinted that he and his government would do all it takes to provide the necessary infrastructures across the length and breadth of the country to help improve the living standards of the people.

 The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo assured the chiefs that government would do all it takes to ensure peace prevails before, during and after the 2020 general elections and urged the teaming youth not to also allowed themselves to engage in election violence by politicians but rather the youth should consider the massive achievements of the NPP government and vote to return the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party to power.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Allan Kwadwo Kyeremateng said the government under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has vision to provide quality infrastructures to encourage people to undertake businesses to make Ghana’s economy to  developed.

According to him, the said project would help residents to acquire business training to enable them effectively manage their businesses and urged them to put the centre into good use.

He further said government has introduced 1D1F policy including others aimed at providing sustainable jobs to many Ghanaians and urged them support government implement its policies and programmes. 

Hon. Kyeremateng also used the occasion to categorize some of the achievements of the government.

Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto II, the Omanhene of Bechem Traditional Area commended the President for honouring some of his campaign pledges made in 2016.

He said the Bechem town roads are in deplorable state and made passionate appeal to the president to tarre the Bechem Town roads to enhance business activities.

PRESEDENTS OF THE REPUBLIC CUTS SOD FOR BECHEM-TECHIMANTIA –AKOMADAN ROAD

 

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has paid working visit to the Tano South Municipality to interact with the chiefs and people of Techimantia.

Inspecting projects in the said community, the President of the Republic cut sod to commence constructions work on Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan road.

According to him, since Ahafo Region produces more foodstuffs to feed the nation, there is the need for him to tarre the said road to boost businesses in the Municipality and the country as a whole.

The Minister of roads and highways, Hon. Kwasi Amoako Atta indicated that Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan road is seen as one of the major roads which link Bono East Region and Ashanti Region and hinted that the road when completed would address the road network issues confronting the Municipality.

Hon Amoako Atta said 40.4mk road awarded on contract by government would be completed in the next 24 months and however said the project would cost 50million Euros.

He further stressed that the road project would provide direct and indirect jobs to the residents in the Municipality and urged the residents to cooperate with the contractor to enable the contractor completes the project on time to make it serves its intended purposes.

Nana Ampong Kromantang who welcomed president and his entourage said the residents of the Techimantia have admired the performance of the NPP governments under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo especially the free SHS Policy.

He used the occasion to inform President to provide teachers’ bungalow, pick up, boys’ dormitory and bus for the Samuel Oto SHS to enable management of the school to effectively run the school.
