TANO SOUTH DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE PRAYS WITH MOSLEM COMMUNITY

The Tano South District Chief Executive Honorable Bukari Zakari Anaba on behalf of the president of Ghana, have donated Four Hundred pieces of mats worth GH¢3,600 to the Tano South Moslem Community, to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-fitr. Presenting the items at a short but impressive ceremony at Bechem, after he had joined his Moslem counterparts in prayers to mark the celebration, the District Chief Executive said he brings to them the good wishes of the President in their celebration of the Ramadan.

Mr. Bukari Zakari Anaba emphasized that the donated mats should be distributed according to the purpose of donation to the Moslem Community to enable them to celebrate the day. He used the occasion to promise government’s assistance to construct a six unit classroom block for the Bechem Islamic Basic School. This he said is the initiative of the government of Ghana and Tano South District Assembly to help upgrade education in the Islamic Communities. Honorable Bukari Zakari Anaba advised the Moslem youth to desist from immoral acts which would corrupt their image and the Moslem community at large.

Receiving the items, the District Chief Imam, Alhaji Ibrahim Gariba thanked President Mills for the kind gesture and assured that the mats would be distributed according to the purpose for which it was donated.

The Chief Imam assured that the Moslem community in the district would continue to pray for Ghana to move the country forward. He commended the President for showing his concern to the Moslem community and therefore called for more of such donations.
