MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT DONATES PPEs TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS


The Member of Parliament for Tano South Constituency has donated PPEs to second cycle schools in the Tano South Municipality to help prevent or combat covid-19 in schools.

Handing over the items to the Municipal Director for Education, Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere the MP and deputy minister for Ahafo Region said the presentation was being made on behalf of the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo in fulfillment of his promise to provide all schools with PPEs on reopening of schools. He said the  President has proven time and again that it has education at heart and must be commended for that, he also said President Akufo-Addo understands that it is his responsibility to protect every Ghanaian lives and he is committed to do  just that and entreated all and sundry to support the President. Ending his address, he advised heads of institutions and staff of beneficiary institutions to make good use of the items so that it serves its purpose. He asked them to prioritize the safety of the students and strictly adhere to all the measures that came with the reopening of schools.

The Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Mabel Botokro, receiving the items, thanked the Member of Parliament and the President for giving them their share of the national cake. She commended the President for his immense contribution towards education in the municipality and Ghana as a whole. She promised the Member of Parliament and people present that she would see to it that the items are used appropriately to serve its purpose. She ended by pleading with the government to continue to take care of the needs of the educational sector.
