The Bechem Circuit of the Chirst Apostolic Church has held its 30th year anniversary at a ceremony at the church’s new premises at Bechem in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The ceremony which attracted large number of church members, Officiating Ministers including Pastor Eric Acquah, Nananom, Opinion Leaders, members of the clergy including members of the local council of churches and Pentecostal Churches saw other government officials including the Tano South District Chief Executive, Hon. Bukari Zakari Anaba in attendance.
Speaking at the ceremony, the DCE commended the church for its contribution towards the development of the District and said the achievement of the church from where it started and where it has got to cannot be over emphasized since their humble beginning had got them where they are now.
Hon. Anaba said plans are far advanced for the creation of a District Peace Council to assist in matters of peace building in the District as it exist in the Regional and National levels and called on all present to help preserve peace in the District, Region and Country as a whole since we are in an election year. Hon. Anaba called on the people especially those in politics to eschew the politics of insults which could bring conflicts among the various political groups.
Hon. Anaba hinted that the Electoral Commission has come out with a number of eighty-five (85) constituencies which has been cited as flash points of which Tano South District is one of them and called on the people to
 pray for the avoidance of such occurrences and quoted 2 Corinthians chapter 13; 11 which talks of peace in the bible. He said he stands for peace and he would implore the congregation to preach peace before, during and after the December 7th 2016 elections.

Touching on sanitation, Hon. Anaba said as the saying goes “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”, he would implore all and sundry to take the National Sanitation Day seriously by taking part in the sanitation day cleaning exercises anytime the day falls so as to help keep the environment clean to avoid the outbreak of diseases like Cholera, Malaria and other air borne related diseases.
Hon. Bukari Zakari Anaba on behalf of the government and the Tano South District Assembly pledged an amount of four thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢4000) to the church to enable them complete their new church premise.

Nana Boadi Amponim who stood in for the Omanhene of Bechem Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto 11 acknowledge all present and congratulated the church for its achievements and   contribution to the people of Bechem and its environs.
