The Tano South District
Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), has
presented a number of relief items to seven households who were affected by
rainstorm at Kwabententenkrom.
At a presentation ceremony held
at Kwabenatentenkrom in the Tano South District, the items were presented to
the beneficiaries by the DCE for Tano South District.
In a speech, the Tano South
District NADMO Officer, Mr. Vincent Miya said, his outfit was mandated to
assist disaster victims in case of any disaster and hinted that the government
through NADMO releases relief items for distribution to affected disaster
victims as a means of support for their up keep.
In a speech by the Tano South
District Chief Executive, Hon. Bukari Zakari Anaba at the presentation ceremony
asserted that government have put in place measures to address situations when
disaster occurs and assured the people that, though items could not meet all
their needs and he hopes that they could make good out of what they have
received.
Hon. Anaba emphasized that he is
hoping the M.P for the constituency who is out of the country would also come
to their aid on her return.
Items presented at the ceremony
included blanket, mat, rubber cup and plates and among others.
