DEPUTY MINISTER DONATES PPEs TO RELIGIOUS BODIES TANO SOUTH


The Deputy Minister for Ahafo Region, Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere has donated PPEs to Churches and Mosques in the Tano South Municipality to help prevent covid-19.

In his address, Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere told the gathering that, the President has promised to protect citizenry in the country and the church is not left out and that is the reason why the government has extended a helping hand to the churches and mosques in the sharing of the PPEs. He said religious bodies in Ghana have played a key role in the fight against Corona virus and Ghanaians are thankful. Hon. Sekyere entreated them to keep interceding for the country since he believes it is only God’s intervention that would make the corona virus pandemic a thing of the past. He ended by pleading with them to make good use of the items and observe all the social distancing protocols so that the spread of Covid-19 will be controlled.

Rev. Frimpong Boadu, Chairman for Bechem Christian council, accepting the items, thanked the Minister for the kind gesture and applauded the government for the committed and fierce fight against the corona virus pandemic. He continued that though Ghanaians are praying, it is necessary to observe the social distancing protocols and practice all preventive measures to reduce the spread of the various. Rev. Boadu advised his fellow religious leaders to help preach the gospel of preventing covid-19 to their members any time they are in front of the congregation and promise  the minister that the items would be well taken care of and used for their rightful purposes and that they would keep interceding for the country.
