BRONG AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER RECEIVED AT BECHEM JUNCTION

The newly appointed Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Kwaku Asomah Kyeremeh was given a rousing welcome at Bechem junction, the gateway into the Brong Ahafo Region whilst on his way to Sunyani to assume office.

Party supporters, executives, family members, friends and an enthusiastic crowd gathered at the Bechem junction amid drumming and dancing to receive the Minister and his entourage who arrived in a convoy of five vehicles.

Libation was poured and prayers were said for the Minister on arrival after which the Minister in a speech called on all to give glory and thanks to the almighty God for giving us the day and also bringing him this far. He thanked His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo- Addo, and the President of the Republic of Ghana for appointing him as the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister.

Hon. Asomah called on all to eschew partisan politics and come together as a unified force to pursue the development of the Brong Ahafo Region irrespective of their party colours as he has come to work for the people of the Brong Ahafo Region but not for a particular political party. He said with their cooperation, he was optimistic that Brong Ahafo could be developed more than we find it now.

The Regional Minister and entourage before leaving Bechem for Sunyani paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Bechem, Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto II at his palace.

Welcoming the Regional Minister and his entourage, Nana Fosu Gyeabour Akoto said, he deemed it a pleasure and honour to have the Minister and his entourage in the mist of Nananom. He said he knows the Regional Minister would be a listening Minister and when he is able to do that it would go a long way to help in his administration.

Nana Fosu Gyeabour II called on the Minister to be a father for all but not for a particular section of the Region and prayed for God’s guidance in the course of performing his duties.

Responding to the Omanhene’s welcome address, Hon. Kwaku Asomah- Kyeremeh retaliated his earlier call that he had come to serve the people of the Brong Ahafo Region and not a particular section. He told Nananom that he has no grudge with any chief in the region and that he was going to work closely with Nananom for the good of the Brong Ahafo Region and assured that he would seek the advice of Nananom when the need arise so as to help him achieve his vision of placing the Brong Ahafo on a higher note.

The Regional Minister, finally assured Nananom  that his doors are always opened for them to call in with their problems and other suggestions which would be in the interest of the Brong Ahafo Region and Ghana as a whole.
