BECHEM GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL RECEIVE SUPPORT

Human Care and Maintenance Foundation, HUCAM a Non-Government Organization (N.G.O) in the Tano South District have donated drugs worth six hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢600) to the maternity ward of the Bechem Government Hospital. Speaking at a short but impressive ceremony held at the hospital premises the Executive Director of HUCAM, Ms Evelyn Bema said the organization is in the district to support the people to integrate them into the mainstream of developmental life.

She said the NGO is poised to provide food supplement and drugs to over 2500 school children in the district. The Director was optimistic that the drugs if given to people accordingly will go a long way to improve the health conditions of pregnant women as well as their unborn babies. Ms. Evelyn Bema outlined activities such as supply of about 216 treated mosquito bed nets, immunization campaign, repairing of damaged boreholes and building of poultry farms for privilege people as some of the initiative the NGO is providing for the people. She therefore advised the people to obey the dose prescribed and report to a pharmacist for clarification.

Receiving the items, the Bechem Government Hospital Pharmacist, Mr. Mensah Adomako thanked HUCAM for the kind gesture and assured that the drugs would be used accordingly. He therefore called for more support from other NGOs and stakeholders in the district.
